Ethical and Respectful Beekeeping

We harvest once a year.

By harvesting honey only once annually, we ensure that the bees have ample time to naturally replenish their food supplies. This approach prioritizes the health and sustainability of the bee colonies, allowing them to thrive without excessive disturbance.

We only harvest the honey supers.

Our beekeeping practice focuses solely on collecting honey from the honey supers, the additional boxes added on top of the hive. This method ensures that the bees retain their essential winter food stores, supporting their survival during colder months and minimizing the impact on the hive's natural balance.

Each harvest is done manually.

We take pride in our meticulous, hands-on approach to harvesting. By conducting each harvest manually, we can carefully monitor the process, reducing stress on the bees and ensuring that their environment remains as undisturbed as possible. This careful handling reflects our commitment to the well-being of our colonies.

We force the crystallization in the fall for better preservation.

In the fall, we promote the natural crystallization of our honey, a process that enhances its preservation. This method aligns with our philosophy of minimal intervention, allowing the honey to retain its natural qualities and ensuring that it remains fresh and flavorful for our customers.
